KABOOMSU is fifty original doge portraits written directly into Dogecoin — not a link, not a hash pointing somewhere else. Every pixel is stored inside the blockchain itself. As long as Dogecoin exists, so does the picture.

About the artwork
These are original renditions in the pose the internet knows — the sideways glance, the tucked paws, the faint knowing smirk. They are not the 2010 photograph of Kabosu, which remains the copyrighted work of its photographer, Atsuko Sato.
That distinction matters more here than it would almost anywhere else. An inscription is permanent and public: once something is written into Dogecoin it cannot be edited, taken down, or quietly swapped out later. So the collection carries art that is genuinely its own.
What "on-chain" actually means
The image is cut into pieces
The picture is split into small fragments of a couple hundred bytes each. A high-resolution portrait becomes a few thousand of them.
Each piece rides a transaction
The fragments are carried by a chain of Dogecoin transactions, every one linked to the last, so their order can't be shuffled or forged.
The chain reassembles it
Anyone reading Dogecoin can put the fragments back together and recover the original file byte for byte. No website has to still be online.
It belongs to one coin
The finished inscription is bound to a single Dogecoin output. Sending that coin sends the art with it. That's what makes it ownable.
This is genuinely expensive to do, and that's rather the point. Space inside a blockchain is scarce; a large image occupies thousands of transactions across hours of block time. The cost is the permanence.
Status — not yet inscribed
The collection is still being prepared. The artwork, the encoding and the full cost of putting it on-chain have been worked out and independently verified — but nothing has been written to Dogecoin yet, and nothing has been spent.
